Home Econs Test

My selected dish for the home econs test is the Roasted Lemon Chicken Wrap with Cucumber Strip Salad. I think it is healthier than my grilled chicken wrap I ate on 7th July as I roasted my chicken instead of grilling it and I added a cucumber and tomato salad on the side (It's below the wrap because i packed it in a container). Cucumbers are good sources of vitamin B, they re-hydrates and replenishes our body's vitamins, fights cancers as well as aiding in weight loss and digestion.

I even added half and avocado as avocados contains a variety of nutrients including vitamin E for the prevention cholesterol oxidation; folate for reducing dangerous homocysteine levels in the blood; potassium for regulating blood pressure; phytosterols for reducing cholesterol absorption; and dietary fibre to control blood sugar levels. It also helps us maintain a healthy heart and regulates our blood sugar to prevent diabetes.
I got these information from http://healthiestfoods.co.uk and http://www.naturalnews.com

Above are just photos taken during my home econs testing.

From my eating habits, I found out that I did not eat such a balanced diet as there were not enough meat in many of my meals. I could have included fruits in my diet too.
I consider my diet to be healthy to some extent as I had at least a serving of vegetables in some of my meals.
The suggested nutritional tools are helpful as they let us have more knowledge on how to have a healthier and more balanced diet.
